I remember years ago, being quite taken with Orlaith McAllister on Big Brother. I may have even posted about it here. She lives in the same city as I do, so I've seen her out and about and she's still very pretty.

My first Big Brother crush, though, was Kate Lawler, completely going against my preference for tall brunettes.

Recently, I discovered that Orlaith had been working out and was incredibly fit - flat stomach, six pack, the works. I find that incredibly sexy. Have a picture.

So imagine my delight when I saw the following image posted on a forum of Kate Lawler. Mmmm... I think she's gotten better with age as well.

I'd love to meet a woman with this body... but seeing as I have too much of a pie and beer addiction and am allergic to exercise, it's not likely.

An other trawl through the online dating apps... another set of swipes that will inevitably yield zero interest.

Over the past year or so there's been a girl who pops up every now and again - a very attractive brunette girl with a great smile.

And I've just seen her on Facebook - she's another local celebrity/media person. I've never heard of her, but then again I don't watch a lot of local media.

That's a fair few that I've seen, though Orlaith McAllister is still probably the best known, and this is another one who's a friend of ES.

Six degrees of Ruuude.

Years ago, prior to moving into the first shared house with UF and subsequently living next door to Attractive Neighbour, I was looking at potential new housemates and places to live. I browsed several sites - SpareRoom, Gumtree etc. looking for somewhere nice to share.

As part of this search, I spotted an interesting sounding flatmate. Female, slightly younger than me, interesting profile... and cute. Like really cute. Slim, redhead, pretty, thin. I sent her a message to see if she would be interested in sharing with a bloke, but no reply. And then I found her on Plenty of Fish. I can't remember if I messaged her there as well... it's unlikely, but she was cute. And interesting.

She popped up on my Facebook "people you may know" feed today. Different surname, so married. So, yeah, I had a quick browse of her profile and it's amazing how many people I've messaged over the years on various online dating sites that she has as friends . There must be around a dozen people including the likes of Orlaith McAllister and Attractive Neighbour plus The Designer and a few others who have not previously been mentioned on the blog.

And I realise now that both Nearly Flatmate and Attractive Neighbour are quite alike - slim, attractive, redheads.

I know I've often mentioned how small it feels my local area is, how many people we all know, albeit indirectly, and how often coincidences seem to happen, but around a dozen people that I've actually gone and messaged is still quite impressive. And, yes, worth blogging.

No surprises.

Unsurprisingly, I never matched with Orlaith on the dating app (from this post). I am trying to remember which one it was. Tinder? Bumble? It doesn't matter.

Imagine my surprise when I saw the trailer for this programme, though: Beauty Queen and Single. Hmmm... I pondered. Was the dating app thing actually research for the programme or had she been unsuccessful and was actually trying the app for real?

Having done some further investigation, this might be an old programme? I can't tell. I rarely watch live TV these days - it's all Netflix for me.

I've mentioned in the past that I often have quite unlikely coincidences, even simple things like having mutual friends with CB, for example.

Well, today saw my online dating experience made more interesting by being presented, on Bumble, with (ex) model/Reality TV personality Orlaith McAllister. She's not my type from a personality perspective (though she is gorgeous which I've stated before), but I swiped right anyway. You kinda have to under these circumstances, don't you?
